Talia Potash’s passion for photography began when she first picked up a camera at age seven. She later developed her photography skills in the University of Manitoba Fine Arts Program. Her photos have been shown in numerous exhibitions across Canada, including Super Novas at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Her solo exhibition “It’s a Good Life “ opened in the Martha Street Studio in 2008. Talia believes that a portrait should strive to immortalize a moment in time that reveals an individual’s character.
In 2010, Talia combined her love for photography with her passion for children in a unique studio, Dollhouse Photography, located in the historic Exchange District. There, she has created sets that replicate child-sized rooms containing vintage toys, where children are free to roam and play as Talia moves around to capture their expressions. She also photographs siblings and families in her studio. For more about Dollhouse Photography, please go to www.dollhousephotography.ca
A natural progression from Talia’s love of capturing special moments in young children’s lives is photographing their rites of passage as they grow, at events such as Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Talia is excited to integrate her photographic style with you and the bar/bat mitzvah child. For more information call 793-0297 or email her at [email protected].
